LAW FIRM REPRESENTS NTEC IN STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP TO BRING MICROSOFT’S MIC TO KUWAIT

As part of a multi-phase Memorandum of Understanding between National Technology Enterprises and Microsoft, the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) will gain a strong partnership with the world’s largest software provider. The new Kuwait Microsoft Innovation Center (MIC), one of 110 worldwide, will become a collaboration center for Government, Academia, and the IT industry.
In addition to Microsoft, Advanced Micro Designs (AMD) the world’s second largest semiconductor and processor manufacturer will be providing server and PC hardware to the MIC at KISR. Mr. Gautam Srivastava, Middle East managing director for AMD, views this program and Kuwait as “a key market in the Gulf region” and a necessity to becoming a “leading global provider of innovative processing solutions.” According to Dr. Adnan Al-Sultan, Vice-chairman and Managing Director of NTEC, “NTEC was created to facilitate the introduction and adoption of the innovative technologies in the State of Kuwait – Microsoft, along with KISR and AMD are fundamental to achieving this goal.” Al Wagayan, Al Awadhi, and Al Saif acted as counsel in these strategic alliances between NTEC, KISR and Microsoft.
